Welcome!
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web. I hope you enjoy you're visit. I've recently given my site a complete overhaul, maintaining a similar style as before, but now fully compatible with all major browsers in use today, it's also a little easier to navigate.
Who am I?
My name is Chris, I'm 33 and have recently got back into the whole art thing after an extended absence to concentrate on other things in my life. I used to be all about art, 3D, films etc. until one day I realized that was all I had done since leaving school, so I "retired" for want of a better word to try out other things. But I couldn't quite let go, so after much thought I'm back and having lots of fun re-learning everything and trying new things.
What am I aiming for?
First and foremost, to have fun! But also to ultimately have a well paid and stable career. But those aren't so common in this line of work, so I'm also studying other things to make sure I'm covered if the worst comes to the worst. |

Software & Hardware
My preferred 3D software would be Lightwave, Softimage|XSI and ZBrush. While I used a combination of Photoshop and Painter for 2D work. I also have experience in a number of other packages, a list of which can be found on this site.
I currently use a 12x9 Wacom Intuos3 drawing tablet. Recently treating myself to both the Wacom Airbrush and 6D Art Pen to complete the collection.
Style
As is evident from the gallery page, I enjoy working in a number of styles, from realism to my personal favorite, Biomechanical. In both 2D and 3D. |
Influences
I have been greatly inspired over the years by a number of wonderful traditional artists. Melvyn Grant, Chris Foss, Peter Jones, Roger Dean, Rodney Matthews and of course H. R. Giger. I have also had the oppertunity to learn from and work with, some of the most talented modellers and designers in the business today.
Where would I like to work?
I would like to be challenged, and would be equally happy working in video games, television or film, illustrating books or designing monsters, production paintings, portraits, matte's or concept art. I do not think myself "too good" for such projects as fan films or low budget movies. Some of my best memories were working with others on such projects. However I do need to pay the bills and support my family, So I am unable to work for free at this time.
Availability for work
I am currently available for hire, both full time and freelance. You can find my résumé at the top of each page, and information on my strengths and weaknesses and how to get in touch throughout this site. Please be aware that higher paid work will take precedence over low paid jobs.
If you are interested in hiring me, please contact me directly through this site, detailing your project, what you would have me do, and what you would be willing to pay and we will go from there. I must insist that you pay 50% of the final agreed upon payment before I begin, and the remaining amount upon completion. This is to protect myself from those who have no intention of paying me for my time and work. I am unable and unwilling to make exceptions to this rule for individuals and smaller companies I have not worked with previously on a professional level.
Serious enquiries only please.
